Therapeutic Wilderness Program is the First Phase

The early part of enrollment at Shepherd’s Hill Academy is a wilderness program, carefully planned to eliminate distractions, build trust and teach teamwork. Removing electronics and other conveniences allows teens to contemplate deeper issues of life. The Therapeutic Boarding School and Residential Program is Next

After residents demonstrate responsible decisions and take ownership of their growth, they transition to the residential program and live in a home on campus. This next step gets them ready to transition into society as privileges and individual freedoms are restored.

An Accredited Therapeutic Boarding School with Certified Teachers and Counselors

All throughout the program, teens are enrolled in our on-campus, fully accredited junior and senior high school, taught by Georgia certified teachers. We encourage students to get caught up and to also prepare for college, so we also include test prep for the SAT and ACT as part of our ordinary curriculum.

Shepherd’s Hill Academy is structured to equip troubled teens with the skills needed to become more confident, productive and respectful at home, school, and in the community. We provide a state accredited junior and senior high school on campus.
