We have all heard of stubborn children.
But, are you familiar with the term, stubborn parent? Or better put, are you wavering in your convictions?
This is referring to your commitment to remaining firm on your convictions.
Because of your biblical stance, have you ever found yourself defending your parenting standards to your kids?
It’s easy to have your parenting bar of expectation lowered by others, through peer pressure, when you’re using Scripture as your moral compass.
If we were to follow that same train of logic, we will see that it took talent for Adolph Hitler to systematically massacre millions and it made him feel good.
“You aren’t going to let Johnny watch that program?”
“Your making Suzie do what before she can go to the show?”
“Why can’t Mary have an iPod of her own?”
“You mean Billy can’t have a computer in his own room?”
Parents, don’t let objections and pressures like these taint your convictions.
If you’re labeled a stubborn parent for not wavering in your convictions in implementing boundaries that help keep you and your kids in league with the will of God, consider it all joy.
