Graduation. As a parent of a troubled teen, this event may seem like a distant hope and dream for your child. Perhaps your teen has fallen behind in school. Maybe they are struggling with focusing, certain classes, or studying disciplines. You may wonder if your son or daughter will ever walk across the stage and receive their diploma. Your dream of their success can be a reality!
Our Mission is Their Success
At Shepherds Hill Academy (SHA), we are dedicated to your child’s success; not only in the program, but in life. Our program offers a fully accredited academy where your student will continue their studies while also receiving therapeutic care.
A 5:1 Student to Staff ratio ensures your child will receive the individualized attention they need to meet and exceed their goals. In fact, 80% of Shepherds Hill Academy graduates go on to pursue a post-secondary education.
On May 19th, Shepherds Hill Academy had the privilege of honoring two High School Seniors and six Program Completion Graduates. These students have worked diligently throughout the past year to reach their goals. With ceremonies led by SHA Co-Founder Trace Embry, proud parents were able to watch their beloved children receive diplomas and certificates, becoming alumni of the Shepherds Hill Academy Class of 2017.
Our graduation program featured a final word from Trace Embry, leaving graduates with words to remember as they go out into the world. Shepherds Hill Academy faculty member, Amy Laird, presented honor students with Certificates and Graduates with their hard earned diplomas. SHA Co-Founder Mrs. Beth Embry presented Shepherds Hill Program Graduates with their certificates and awarded one student with the Stephen M. Schyck Scholarship Award.
It was a bittersweet evening at Shepherds Hill Academy. We will truly miss our students, but are so incredibly proud of their excellent achievements, both academically and personally. These students have worked so hard, stretching and challenging what they thought they were capable of achieving. But here they are, wearing their dark blue cap and gowns, ready to take on the world!
Congratulations Graduates! May the Lord guide and direct your steps. May He bless you in your endeavors, and may you continue to draw closer to Him each and every day.
Psalm 16:7-11 “I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because You will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will You let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.”
