Cultural indoctrination seems to have… Well, blindly indoctrinated the American teenager.
Today, I want to present one way to prevent your teen from being indoctrinated.
When we see kids, sitting down, lying around or walking along the road with digital technology in their hands and ears from the time they get up to the time they lay down at night, we should ask ourselves: “Who, or what is really shaping these kid’s lives?
The popular biblical mandate of Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says: “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home; when you walk along the road; when you lie down and when you get up.”
So, are we giving our time and energy to impress God’s Word and values on our kids? Or, are we allowing complete strangers, through digital devices, to do it for us?
