Last week I talked about the moral component of art. This week, I believe some special attention should be given to the immoral side to music.
After all, music is just another art form with it’s own moral component.
It is no secret that much of today’s chart topping music is chocked full of immoral content.
But, our kids could argue that the Bible is too–and they’d be right–especially sex and violence.
But, they need to know there’s no gratuitous sex and violence found there. The gratuitous sex and violence found in much of today’s music; however, too often entices its audience to enjoy and pursue these vices, while the sex and violence found in Scripture encourages readers to avoid them in the pursuit of God.
Teaching our kids the difference will make all the difference in the world.
