Shepherds Hill Academy (SHA) has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
Occurring this year on November 28, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the US) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
This Giving Tuesday, Shepherds Hill Academy is working to raise funds to support families and teens in crisis. Funds raised designated to Giving Tuesday will go directly to the SHA Scholarship Fund- helping a teen’s family cover the cost of residential and therapeutic care.
“Shepherds Hill Academy is excited to take part in #GivingTuesday this year,” explains Marketing Director, Lane Taylor. “The Holidays are a wonderful time to give back and contribute to wonderful causes across the country. We hope that members of our community will consider making Shepherds Hill Academy’s mission a part of their giving plans for the end of the year, as well as 2018.”
Pledges of any size and frequency are invited as Shepherds Hill works to offer Therapeutic treatment to teens suffering from various issues. SHA offers aid to families of teens dealing with: abandonment, trauma, Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Substance Abuse Disorders, and other concerns. Every dollar donated to SHA on #GivingTuesday is designated to our Scholarship Fund and will go directly to help students get the help they need.
