Has your social life began to suffer because of your teen’s entitlement? Does this sound too far fetched?
Today’s post I’ll highlight how your teen’s entitlement can ruin your social life.
Do you suspect your child might be dealing with entitlement issues?
Well, if you suspect it, I can assure you that there are others who will confirm it. More than likely they will never address you or your child directly.
They’ll simply avoid you both.
Let’s face it, people hate confrontation.
How do you feel about other kids who act as though they live in a universe called “Me?” How do you feel about their parents?
Giving your kids everything they want when they want it is a sure-fire way to have your teen’s entitlement ruin your social life.
One practical solution to curb entitlement is; if he wants the expensive brand-name shoes, offer to pay half while he works for the balance.
Both the work and the wait will teach him delayed gratification that will do wonders for his character–and for his interpersonal relationships as well.
