Dads, it is time to embrace your role as a nurturer.
Sadly, too many fathers believe that their sole role in the family is to be a mere breadwinner – the financial provider. Dads should embrace their role as nurturer too.
They falsely believe they can opt out of any nurturing responsibilities because mothers generally make better nurturers.
But, listen to what Paul tells his readers in First Thessalonians, Chapter 2:11-12.
“For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children – encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God who calls you into His Kingdom and glory.”
So, not only are fathers obligated to provide for their kids materially, they are to provide for their kids emotionally and spiritually as well – leading them to God in holy living.
