Biblically-Based Teen Therapeutic Programs Bring Hope, Healing, and Transformation
Shepherd’s Hill Academy offers hope for teens in crisis and their families. Utilizing a safe and secure authoritative community model that is biblically-based and Christ-centered, SHA works with teens to remove negative influences and encourage accountability and responsibility in a strict but nurturing environment. Combined, our programs work together as steps toward educational and personal success.
Shepherd’s Hill Academy is a residential boarding school for at-risk teens who need loving and authoritative guidance. Based on teachings from the Bible and centered on Christ, our programs provide nurturing guidance in a safe and secure environment.
What Will My Teen Experience?
Therapeutic Outdoor Program
Newly enrolled teens typically spend ten months in this unique environment free from cultural distractions in a wilderness atmosphere. Rustic living provides ample opportunities for learning and growth and includes activities such as gardening and construction projects, homesteading, and team building. In addition, while completing his or her education, your teen will receive individual, group, and equine therapies.
Academic Program
Located at the center of our main campus, our fully-equipped high school classrooms provide a top-quality junior and senior high school education for all teens enrolled at Shepherds Hill. Fully accredited by the state of Georgia, all credits are fully transferable.
Next Step Therapeutic Program
As teens accelerate in the Therapeutic Outdoor Program, they become eligible to move into our Next Step Program on the main campus. Teens live in modern housing as they build on their wilderness experience and continue their education.
Equine Therapy Program
Teens are allowed to work one-on-one with a therapeutic horse during individual and group therapy. Equine therapy has proven to be a very positive addition to the Shepherds Hill curriculum. Need help with your defiant teen? Call Now for more information!
