The highly-trained educators at Shepherd’s Hill Academy are dedicated to helping your child succeed academically. Our Academic Program is designed to promote excellence by combining structure, high academic standards, individualized attention and a biblical worldview.
We provide a fully comprehensive list of courses that meet the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE). By providing coursework in line with the Georgia state requirements, our students can receive a standard high school diploma, apply for HOPE scholarships (GA residents), and participate in NCAA programs in their postsecondary endeavors.
Shepherd’s Hill Academy combines Georgia state requirements with rigorous course materials featuring a Christian worldview. Many other additional resources are also utilized by our academic team to ensure the best possible education for your child.

Academic Program Success

Approximately 70-80% of Shepherd’s Hill Academy high school graduates are accepted into a postsecondary program prior to graduation. Our principal and staff work directly with each student to find the best college, vocational or workplace fit for their passion, skillset and dreams.

Preparation for Your Student’s Academic Future
Shepherd’s Hill Academy offers a variety of college preparatory coursework in the fields of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. All courses are aligned with the Georgia Department of Education.
In order to give students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma from Shepherd’s Hill Academy, SHA offers elective courses such as Art, Spanish 1 and 2, Biblical Studies, Industrial Arts, Sustainable Agriculture, Health and Physical Education.
Academically successful students who have the desire to pursue postsecondary institutions are given guidance in SAT/ACT preparation. Shepherd’s Hill Academy will also work with students and staff to set up the student’s SAT or ACT testing date and transport them to the testing location.
For students who qualify, dual enrollment with Toccoa Falls College, a 4-year private postsecondary institution, is available at Shepherd’s Hill Academy. SHA has partnered with Toccoa Falls College to offer online dual enrollment courses to students at Shepherd’s Hill Academy.
Whether your student wishes to pursue a 2-year, 4-year or vocational academic environment after their time at Shepherd’s Hill Academy, our principal and team will work individually with you and your teen to help them create a plan of success. This plan may include on-site college visits, recruiter visits, additional research, scholarship applications, and more.
