Looking for a Christian boarding school near Fort Pierce, Florida?
Maybe you’ve been having difficulty with an angry or misbehaving teen in your home? Has your troubled boy or girl been kicked out of school, or gotten into trouble with the law? Do you fear for their safety? As a result, you may be considering residential care options; such as boots camps, a therapeutic boarding school or a wilderness program for troubled teenagers.
We invite you to check out Shepherd’s Hill Academy, which is relatively close by. For 20 years, Shepherd’s Hill Academy has been helping troubled boys and girls, helping them get back on track. We’ve helped hundreds of teens from around the country from families just like yours.

We provide a first-rate education, one-on-one mentoring and counseling, equine therapy, and teamwork exercises to help teens build character and learn to make responsible decisions.
A Hybrid Between a Wilderness Program and a Boarding School, with a Christian Emphasis
Shepherd’s Hill Academy, located in northeast Georgia about 2 hours from Atlanta, combines the best aspects of a therapeutic wilderness program and a Christian boarding school with several forms of therapy, including counseling and equine therapy. Teens attend Shepherd’s Hill Academy from the east coast, south, midwest, western states and west coast, including from towns like Fort Pierce.
The Wilderness Program is the First Phase
The early part of a stay at Shepherd’s Hill Academy is a wilderness program, intended to eliminate distractions, build trust and foster teamwork. Living without technology and other conveniences gives teens an opportunity to contemplate deeper issues of life. The necessity of collaborating to meet basic daily needs calls for coping and teamwork strategies, pushing teens to consider their responsibility to others.
The Residential Program is Next
After a time, when teens display responsible decisions and take ownership of their development, they shift to the residential program and live in a home on campus. This next step gets them ready to transition into society as privileges and individual liberties are restored.
