Shepherds Hill Academy Programs
When students first arrive, they enter the Outdoor Wilderness Program where they live in rustic conditions without electronics or other distractions. They learn teamwork and build life changing skills while attending academic classes at our learning center. All students participate in a fully accredited academic middle school or high school curriculum that is taught by Georgia certified teachers. Students earn credits toward high school graduation and can take college prep courses, including prep courses for the ACT and SAT. Students can also participate in sports, art, and other elective courses.
After students have successfully completed the Outdoor Wilderness Program, they can qualify to move into the Next Step program and live on-campus in residential housing. During this phase, students can earn privileges such as TV or video game access as they continue to attend academic courses, counseling, and taking care of assigned responsibilities. We also utilize accountability groups, individual, behavioral, and family sessions for the adolescent.
