Have you considered the connection between your child’s worldview and behavior?
Is this relationship a result of bad behavior?
This seemingly unrelated issue is at the core of virtually every case I’ve ever dealt with in all my years of dealing with troubled teens and parents.
There’s a name for the prevailing worldview in America right now that dominates the thinking of most Americans–both churched and unchurched.
It’s called postmodernism.
It’s basically the belief that there’s no ultimate standard for right and wrong–no objective source for truth.
In short, today’s American culture–largely through media–has indoctrinated our kids, and us, into believing that all opinions are equally valid.
We must stand our ground for objective truth. This starts by putting limits on media consumption and taking our faith much more seriously.
