The Proverbs are a great place for parents of children of any age to glean wisdom.
Proverbs 29:21, for example, is not about parenting per se, but many parents today would be wise to apply it as such.
It says: “If a man pampers his servant from youth, he will bring grief in the end.”
Likewise, if we pamper our kids too much, we’re likely to create entitled and self indulgent weaklings who will bring us grief in the end. Consider a trusted friend to hold you accountable in this area; because pampering parents are often the last to realize it.
