Teenage dating is no longer as innocent as it was when we were kids.
The Guilt Trip
In fact, a case could be made that teenage dating is more dangerous than ever.
Far too many parents, including Christian parents, are way too cavalier regarding their kids’ dating and entertainment guidelines.
Exasperating our kids and provoking them to anger is my concern.
It could be that many of us just feel too guilty regarding our own past. We don’t feel we have a right to demand from our kids what we didn’t demand of ourselves.
Remember, though King David was a man after God’s own heart, his sex scandal with Bathsheba became a needless precursor to those of his kids.
So regardless of your past, you still have an obligation to put proper boundaries in place that limits your kids’ sexual temptation in our sex charged society.
