If you’re like many parents, you may have allowed your child to wear you down in an argument at one time or another.
Is it possible to prevent an argument with your teen? Absolutely!
First of all, though some parenting experts might disagree, we should never allow our kids to argue with us.
A respectful disagreement is one thing; but, allowing our kids a disrespectful dialogue without consequences is guaranteeing us bigger problems later.
Parents, give your child your expectations.
Then allow them to respectfully give their perspective if they disagree.
You may see their point and concede your position. If not, give your expectations again – and the consequences if they aren’t met.
Then simply walk away.
