God is the god of logic. Logic is His idea. Because of the order He has given to the universe, science exists. Science was a pursuit of the mechanics of God from its inception.
The truth is; most, if not all, early scientists–men like Galileo, Keplar, Newton, and a myriad of others, were all Christian men.
The Lack of Logic in Postmodernism
The freedom that most postmodern thinkers pursue too often defies logic and is hypocritical. Hypocrisy is the very thing that so many atheists and postmodern thinkers complain most about Christians.
But, if they really thought things through, they would realize that all human beings are hypocrites. It’s really just a matter of degree. And if they thought deep enough through the logic of it all, they would realize that the reason it is so easy to pin the label “hypocrite” on the Christian is because the Christian has a transcendent moral standard to uphold—even though he often fails miserably. But, of course, all the more reason for the cross.
Postmodernism has no higher moral code to adhere to other than the law. If one was honest, one violates the law too frequently; whether it be speeding, drugging or any number of other violations that could be mentioned.
The Result of No Logic
Many of today’s teens very often do not want God looking over their shoulders; because, without the existence of God he is then free to indulge in his sinful carnal devices.
The logical outworking of everyone doing what’s “right” in his own eyes is chaos–tragically, the very thing that is bringing our American kids to the bed of suicide. Isn’t it interesting that in the richest nation on the planet, a nation that brags of the freedom to do what we want, we have one of the highest teen suicide rate on the planet.
It is disgusting to think that so many postmodern-thinking people have forsaken their knowledge of history to the point of believing that our forefathers fought and died to preserve our freedom to do what we want. They fought and died to preserve our freedom to do what we OUGHT! But, “ought” implies an absolute–the very thing today’s American “intelligentsia” denies.
An Alternative to Postmodern Logic
I defy anyone who is able to cite a Scripture verse that doesn’t submit to the universal truths of logic found in science.
For those who would want to use the rare apparent discrepancies of numerics found in Scripture–even these have legitimate answers and do no discredit to the message of Scripture.
Even the miracles do not defy logic. They just can’t all be explained. But, neither can many of the tricks of a great magician. Just because something can’t be explained doesn’t make it illegitimate.
