Not many people enjoy life trials. In fact; no one wants their child to experience unnecessary pain, discomfort, shame, or regret commonly found in life trials.
But, the key word is “unnecessary.” The trials of life can actually build character, especially in our teens.
In everyone’s life comes the time when pain, discomfort, shame, or regret can become teaching tools for emotional, intellectual, and spiritual maturity.
Any good parent wants their child to keep these experiences to a minimum.
But to feel that we must rescue our children from these experiences each and every time they occur is to cheat them out of the learning opportunity by which only enduring them can provide.
Even God allows His children to go through some of these life trials for the purpose of growing in character and maturity.
Just read Romans 5:3-4.
But the encouraging thing is, like any good parent, God never gives us more than we can handle.
