Ever wonder why some parents allow their infants or young children unbridled crying and screaming in a public venue without any apparent attempt to comfort or correct their child?
I know I have. And I believe I have found two practical solutions if your kid will not stop crying in public.
Beyond being just plain inconsiderate, parents often think Junior is just expressing himself in a normal childlike manner. Other times, they simply don’t know their options.
Know Your Options
If this describes you, you’d do well to take Junior out of the venue immediately for the sake of everyone around you. If appropriate, exercise proper discipline. Ultimately, there are two people who are going to benefit most if discipline is truly needed, that is you and Junior.
Left unaddressed in the younger years, during his teen years you’ll be doing the screaming instead.
