Have you ever wondered if you can get more out of your teen?
You may be able to answer that question by asking yourself: Do you challenge your teen to do difficult tasks?
I’m not talking about making the bed, emptying the trash, or cleaning their room. I’m certainly not talking about attaining the next level of your teen’s favorite video game.
I’m talking about something that takes them completely out of their comfort zone–like building a new supply shed for the family or remodeling the house.
Many parents today deal with teens who don’t think much of themselves–largely because they don’t expect or demand much.
But, history reveals the incredible things teens have accomplished in the past.
Many parents just find it easier to do things themselves–but then who gets cheated?
If we want happier, healthier, and more self-motivated and confident offspring, consider requiring more of them; because the real-world certainly will.
