Video games seem to be a consistent hot topic. There are arguments for and against video games.
The stark dangers in many of today’s most popular video games is indisputable. Research, science, and experience all affirm this. Some researchers are known for touting the benefits of video games.
What they fail to mention; however, is that the beneficial games are some of the least popular, while the overwhelming majority of the most popular games are extremely dangerous.
So, to blankly say that video games are beneficial, without discerning the difference between the good and bad ones, is like saying a shot of whiskey helps an alcoholic feel and perform better. Let’s teach our kids that moderation and discernment in any aspect of life keeps us from being dependent on anything, and much more productive in everything.
