How can you ensure your teen is not pampered?
In an age of keyboards, screens, and quick and easy answers at the push of a button, this may not be an easy task.
Unfortunately, our kids have been born into the digital age where the level of convenience can actually be destructive to both their minds and bodies–not to mention their spirits.
So as parents, we need to be intentional in seeing that our children are actively engaged in some of the more physical responsibilities of life, like mowing the grass, painting the fence, and other household chores.
You might be able to afford to hire these things to other people, but you could be cheating yourself and your children out of a blessing if you do.
Proverbs 29:11 says, “If a man pampers his servant from youth, he will bring grief in the end.” This is a principle that holds true for our kids also.
