Many believe that the health and strength of traditional families is vital to the health of our nation. But what happens if the family is deteriorating?

Can God bless America, a nation that is not following Him? Today’s guest, Dr. Richard Land will help us sort this concept out.
This week, Rich Roszel and I had the privilege of interviewing Dr. Richard Land. We discussed his book Imagine! A God-Blessed America. Dr. Richard Land holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Oxford University in England and a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. He is currently the Southern Baptist Convention’s official entity assigned to address social, moral and ethical concerns with particular attention to their impact on American families.
Today’s Discussion Outline
I would not say that God has not blessed America, but I would say that His hand is not on this nation as it once was.
For years now, my prayer has shifted from God bless America to – God help America bless God.
With this said, I have a tremendous amount of hope in the next generation. Through Shepherds Hill Academy I work hand in hand with the next generation and I am seeing a zeal in the youth to find, as Paul Harvey would say, “the rest of the story.” Our American founding fathers emphasized the importance of following Christ as the only way to build a nation. In a postmodern culture, why is this still true? Dr. Land out-lines:
- The family is the building block of a nation
- A history of decline in the Christian America
- Why parents should not enroll their kids in public school
- Understanding the generation gaps
- The relation between the culture and its decline
- How music and media can influence our kids lives for the negative
- Why hardcore pornography may not be what you think
