Old Fashion -vs- Postmodern
When listening to parenting experts today, it seems God intended us to have a degree in child psychology in order to be an adequate parent.
Luckily, this is not the case. In fact, God’s instructions for parenting are quite simple to understand.
Until the 60’s, when a psychological revolution swept America, families largely followed the biblical principles found in Scripture. One sociologist showed – even parents who were not people of faith were unwittingly raising their children on biblical principles.
This is because America, as a nation, was largely operating on biblical principles.
How to Address The Notion that the Bible is Irrelevant
Ironically, since parents began taking their cues from people in the mental health community, the mental health of the American child has dramatically gone down hill.
It seems this new parenting paradigm is not working.
In addition; the church, in many cases, has bought into this new psychological theory when addressing child rearing.
So how do parents address the claims that parents can’t use “old” biblical principles in today’s culture?
We’ll provide you with insight into this cultural controversy in today’s interview.
