Shepherds Hill Academy Off Campus Activities

Racing Events:

Trace Embry competes at local race tracks with his modified Ford Pinto. During the summer months students can accompany Trace to the races and cheer him on from the stands.

Camping Excursions:

Camping offers a refreshing escape from the daily routines. On these trips students also learn survival techniques such as how to locate a safe secure site, proper fire building, food preparations and safety, and what to do in case of an emergency.

Monthly Off Campus Activities:

Most months the students will have the opportunity to go off campus for the day. During these off campus trips students will have the opportunity to do any number of activities surrounding our location. Some examples are: indoor rock climbing, paint ball, movie and pizza, bowling, roller skating, and visiting historic locations.

Community Service:

The students sometimes go off campus to assist in any number of community projects. From time to time they will have the opportunity to work along side the local Habitat for Humanity. There are also occasions in which student’s simply assist the elderly with cleaning and typical lawn work. These volunteer activities help train the teens to be less selfish.
