Shepherds Hill Farm 2010 Alumni Retreat Weekend

Annual Alumni Weekends

Our annual Alumni Retreats are a time of fun activities, familiar faces, and times of reminiscing. From California to Florida student’s made their way back to the farm for the weekend’s gathering. It is always a joy to see student’s returning to the place that helped give them a second chance at life. The fact that student’s return on their own volition to the Alumni Retreats is a practical testament to the valuable relationships Shepherds Hill Farm has developed each student.

Alumni Retreat 2010

This year’s weekend retreat started out full of sunshine. However, it was cut short due to tornado like winds, heavy rain, and lighting strikes. The weather eventually got so bad that we had to evacuate the students into a common safe area. By the time the storm had died down there was little left to do except gather around and talk about the lasting memories of SHF.

Continuing the Help

During this weekend, despite the storm, families and students alike were able to engage in discussions that allowed us the opportunity to offer timely advise, prayer, and encouragement. From this retreat, families benefitted from the direction and guidance that the Scriptures offer us all. This is a bi-product of the Farm. Not only are we able to create a fun, loving, safe environment for each visitor, but we are able to continue cultivating the relationships that began upon enrollment.

Alumni Retreat 2011

It is such an encouragement to have previous students visiting the farm years after their graduation. Though this year’s Alumni Retreat was rained out, alumni and families alike enjoyed their time here. We look forward to next year, and can’t wait to fellowship with old friends!
